 NOTE:

  • A patient’s visit will be classified as a new consultation/visit if:
    1. S/he has been discharged from the hospital.
    2. The last visit has lapsed by more than 12 months.
  • Consultation charges listed above exclude joint consultation fees.
  • All charges are rounded to the nearest dollar.
  • Charges are inclusive of 7% GST, except in the case of subsidised patients, whereby the GST is absorbed.
  • * Specialist Outpatient Clinic subsidised rates are based on minimum government subsidy.
  • Subsidised Patient is applicable to Singapore Citizen and Permanent Residents only.
  • Eligible Singapore citizen is Means Tested based on individual patients’ monthly household income. In addition, the Pioneer Generation will receive a further 50% off their subsidised bill.
  • Charges are subject to change without prior notice.

Q1. What is Express Pay?

Express Pay offers you the convenience to pay your bills without queuing at your last stop of service at any of the following institutions - Ng Teng Fong General Hospital, Jurong Community Hospital or Jurong Medical Centre. Elderly patients, in particular can enjoy better ease of mind as Express Pay saves them the hassle of queuing at payment kiosks or sending payment to us.

The bill(s) will be charged up to the maximum amount authorised or the outstanding amount, whichever is lower, to the designated credit card. The hospital bill and credit card slip will be sent within 7 working days upon our processing.

Q2. What services do Express Pay cover?

Express Pay can be used to pay for the following:
• Emergency consultations
• Day surgery
• Inpatient bills
• Specialist Outpatient services

It does not apply to payment of medical reports and its related requests.

Q3. How do I settle my bills?

You may pre-authorise the payment of your bills using Visa and/ or Master cards.

Q4. Is Express Pay chargeable?

There is no administrative fee for this service.

Q5. How do I register for Express Pay?

Please approach any of our payment counters for the application form, and return the completed form to any of our counter staff. Alternatively, you can mail it back to us along with a copy of the payer’s NRIC. The service will be activated at your next visit.

Q6. Can Express Pay be used for bills other than my own?

Yes. Please submit a separate application form for each patient.

Q7. What if my bill exceeds the credit card limit?

In this instance, your bill payment will be rejected by your designated credit card and our hospital will send you a bill for your payment.

Q8. What if my outstanding amount exceeds the maximum amount that I have authorised?

In such instances, a bill for the remaining outstanding amount will be sent to you.

Q9. How do I change my Credit Card details?

You may do so by completing a new Express Pay Application Form and stating your new credit card number, its expiry date and the name of the card holder. This will supercede the earlier credit card details given to our hospital.

Q10. How can I terminate Express Pay?

Patient Categories

Outpatients will be classified as private or subsidised patients according to the following terms.

Subsidised Patient

A subsidised patient refers to a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who has been referred to a public restructured hospital without specifying a particular specialist. The hospital will assign a specialist according to its discretion.

Subsidy is only applicable for Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents who are not existing private patients for the same medical condition.

Private Patient

A patient will be classified as a private patient if the visit is via/the result of: 

  • Self-referral or walk-in
  • Referral letter from:
    - General Practitioner
    - Private Hospital
    - Public restructured hospital under private patient status and/or specifying a consultant by name
    - Polyclinic and/or specifying a consultant by name
  • Industrial accident
